Breaking Bread & Mending Fences
Dinner (Over) Party
Dinner (Over) Party is a community potluck dinner party series that aims to bridge the political divide, one meal at a time.
Are you:
exhausted by hateful, divisive political rhetoric and echo chambers?
realizing the current path may not a sustainable one for progress and are willing to try another way forward?
open to creating spaces where people feel safe to talk openly and vulnerably about the things that matter most to them, even if you disagree with them politically?
willing to set aside judgement and seek to understand people who hold different views than you do?
Cool, pull up a chair to the potluck.
Party Rules:
Keep it respectful (and judgement-free.) No yelling, no threats, no hate speech… you’re attending a Dinner (Over) Party so you can learn to peacefully coexist and talk through politics with people that think differently than you do. You can do this! (If you can’t do this, you might want to sit this one out.)
Keep an open mind (i.e. instead of trying to bend someone to your belief system, seek to understand why they have their belief system.)
Bring a dish to share that is meaningful to you
